Alice Betts

KATT FORE celebrates the quiet strength of women who do it all. This month, we spoke to Alice Betts - a woman whose life has unfolded across continents and creative worlds.

Born in Singapore, raised between the UK and Australia, Alice now calls Stockholm home. A former dancer who gracefully pivoted into fashion over a decade ago, she's built a multifaceted career as a freelance PR consultant, writer, and personal stylist, while sharing her insights through a weekly Substack newsletter.

A genuinely kind soul with an eye for style that never misses, Alice is someone we've admired for all the right reasons.

On things she's looking forward to

I’m looking forward to my birthday that is coming up, I will be celebrating with my husband at a spa hotel by the Swedish sea and eating my favourite cake prinsesstårta (Swedish princess cake - it’s so cute it has bright green marzipan and a little pink rose on top). We are also redecorating our new apartment which is a process I absolutely love - my husband works with interior design and has excellent taste so I’m very lucky.

On self-care habits this winter

I love to let myself slow down during the winter time and fully embrace being indoors and doing everything I can to be cosy. I definitely up my skincare game and enjoy spending time doing long at home spa sessions with an LED mask, dry brushing and using my favourite Korean sheet masks. A very Swedish ritual I love is going for a sauna, it’s very soothing and rejuvenating during the long winters. I’m a big tea drinker especially during winter time and embrace the ritual of making tea in the mornings or before going to bed. I meditate almost every day and use tarot as a form of self reflection/introspection.

On what she wears to feel her best

I would definitely wear something that makes me feel both comfortable and confident. Two designers that I always feel really good, and like myself in are Phoebe Philo and Miuccia Prada, both new and vintage pieces. Nicklas Skovgaard and Fidan Novruzova are also favourites to dress up in. I’d pair something from one of those designers with my new favourite boots from KATT FORE and my everyday jewellery from Spustova.

On what she wears on her day off

On a day off I like to be extra comfy, you’ll definitely find me in knitwear of some description (I love my Hodakova sweater and cashmere sweaters from People’s Republic of Cashmere or a nice basic top (the long-sleeve wool ones Bite Studios and Flore Flore are my favourites) and you'd probably find me wearing ballet flats.

Items on her wishlist this winter

Vintage Old Celine white dress from my favourite pre-loved store in Stockholm, House of Tell, Diptyque Feu de Bois scented candle which smells like wood fire, Sofia Coppola Set Pictures from Climax Books, Tekla Texas Slippers, Phoebe Philo bumper booties and a new kettle.
